Our team of pastors and leaders help to guide and care for the church community, serving as shepherds who support the spiritual growth and well-being of the congregation.

rOB Schellenberg

Rob has been pastor of our community for over 10 years. After a career in the insurance industry, Rob felt God's call to ministry and completed a Master of Divinity at Tyndale Seminary. Rob oversees our ministry team and provides pastoral care to our community. He is passionate about prayer, discipleship and is a loyal Toronto sports fan. He would love to meet you!

Melanie Monds

Melanie oversees our kid’s program. With the help of a roster of committed volunteers, she brings order to what can be a chaos of dozens of excited kids going to their kid’s program on Sundays. Melanie is passionate about teaching our kids about Christ, seeing them grow in their faith, Christmas pageants and pajama days.

Jessie knight

Jessie leads our Wednesday and Sunday youth programs and also coordinates our Sunday service. She has been involved in youth and church ministry for over 15 years and brings that wealth of experience to her roles at West Toronto BIC. Jessie is passionate about empowering young people and creating community. She also loves games, podcasts and black coffee.

Elected by the wider community, the Board of Directors provides oversight and strategic guidance to ensure West Toronto BIC operates effectively, ethically, and in alignment with our mission and values.
